Kutani ware overglaze enamel × Wakasa lacquer chopsticks / Seikogama [Made in Japan] Series.1
Kutani ware overglaze enamel × Wakasa lacquer chopsticks / Seikogama [Made in Japan] Series.1
Wakasa lacquered chopsticks made by Seikogama, a famous kiln for Kutani ware.
Wakasa lacquered chopsticks are lacquered chopsticks produced in Obama City, Fukui Prefecture.
Because they are resistant to water and heat, they have become popular as everyday items, and Wakasa lacquered chopsticks account for the majority of lacquered chopsticks produced in Japan. Another appeal of Wakasa lacquerware is that all processes are carried out by a single craftsman, rather than by division of labor, so the individuality of each craftsman is strongly expressed.
The pattern is Kutani iroe, a traditional pattern created over 360 years of history that is harmonized with modern times, and has a profound and elegant texture. It is also dishwasher safe and is recommended for daily use or as a gift.
