A tea whisk made in Takayama, Nara Prefecture, Japan

A "tea whisk for tea boxes" refers to a particularly small-sized tea whisk used in the "tea box preparation" method of the Japanese tea ceremony.

What is Chabako Temae:

This is a style of tea ceremony where all the tea ceremony utensils are stored in a small "tea box" (chabako), making it easy to prepare matcha outdoors or on the go.

It is used for travel, nodate (outdoor tea ceremony), practice, etc.

Chabako chasen are designed solely for portability and simple tea preparation, so if you want to properly prepare everyday thick and thin tea, a regular-sized chasen is more suitable.

They look cute, but some people find them a little difficult to use.
