Red Camellia 15cm Side Plate Set of 3 - Seto-Yaki

Product description

Size: Diameter 15 cm
Material: Ceramic
Handmade at a kiln in Seto, this charming "Anko" camellia is crafted by hand. The camellia motif is carved into a white slip, fired once, and then the flower’s color is carefully painted over it. The extra time and care give the design a richer texture and character.

Summary: A 15 cm ceramic piece from a Seto kiln featuring a carved-and-hand-painted "Anko" camellia; the layered process (white-slip carving, initial firing, then detailed color application) creates a warm, textured finish.
