Sandalwood Incense Sampler - 5 Types Washi-Wrapped

Product description

Made in Japan. Approximately 11 cm long, 0.2 cm thick; burn time about 30 minutes (may vary with environment). Fragrance: sandalwood. Contents: a pack containing five different sandalwood incense types, 5 sticks each (25 sticks total).

Selected by Idegami, a long-established gift shop in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, family-run for three generations since the Taisho era. While their main line is stationery, Idegami curates traditional incense, Buddhist goods, gift items, and high-quality Japanese paper; their varied selection is especially appreciated during seasonal events.

Packaging uses local Shizuoka washi paper dyed with regional tea. The paper offers a warm, textured finish and helps protect the incense by absorbing excess humidity.

About sandalwood: a widely used fragrant wood from regions such as India, Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and Australia. Trees suitable for aromatic use take about 100 years to mature, making sandalwood a precious resource. Its creamy, sweet scent is popular in incense, perfume, and aromatherapy, and in some cultures it is used ceremonially as a sacred aroma.

Domestic quality: manufactured and quality-controlled in Japan for consistent, high-quality incense.

Notes and precautions:
- Although packed with care, incense sticks may break during shipping. If they can be placed upright in an incense holder, they remain usable.
- Always confirm the incense is fully extinguished after use. Handle fire cautiously to avoid burns or fire hazards and never leave burning incense unattended.
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight. Fragrance may transfer to other items during storage—store carefully.
- Returns: If initial defects such as broken incense or damaged packaging are found, returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt via your Amazon purchase history.
