Fukubeya Mini Hina Dolls on Base Seto Ware

Product description

A Seto-yaki miniature Hina doll set: palm-sized ceramic Hina made in Seto, a Japanese pottery region. The set includes the imperial couple plus accessories like bonbori lanterns and diamond-shaped hishi-mochi, arranged in a traditional Hinamatsuri layout. It comes on a long wooden base about 27 cm wide, designed to fit narrow spaces such as shelves, entryways, windowsills, apartments, or desks. The dolls feature soft, muted colors and rounded, rustic shapes; each piece shows slight individual variation in painting and expression, reflecting handcraftsmanship. Suitable as seasonal interior decor for Girls’ Day (Momo no Sekku) or as a subtle addition to Japanese-style interiors, it’s also popular as a traditional, Japan-made gift for first Hina festivals or as a cultural gift for overseas recipients.
