Mahavairocana Buddha Hanging Scroll by Takuhousou

Product description

This is a product featuring a mock scroll (mojiku) style. The central depiction and the mounting section are printed on a single piece of cloth. Dainichi Nyorai is regarded as the absolute center of esoteric Buddhism, representing the very truth of the universe. Although he is a Buddha, he is portrayed in the form of a bodhisattva, as this represents the moment when a bodhisattva attains supreme enlightenment. He is also the guardian deity for those born in the year of the Rat or the Monkey.
