Features: The kohiki glaze may show pale pink speckles called "gohonte" and occasional black spots caused by iron in the clay during firing. The underside of the pottery can be slightly rough—take care to avoid scratching tables.

Notes on earthenware: Even when made with the same technique and kiln, finishes vary due to natural minerals in the clay and weather; identical uniformity like industrial products cannot be guaranteed. Handmade irregularities, kiln effects, fine glaze crazing (crackle), drips, etc., are considered normal and acceptable characteristics of the product. Size and weight are approximate. Color may vary depending on display.
