Kutani ware is recognized as one of Japan's three major colored porcelain types and is highly esteemed globally as a representative of traditional Japanese crafts, known as "Japan Kutani."

Origin: Japan (Ishikawa Prefecture), Material: Ceramic (Kutani ware).

Techniques of Kutani ware: Ginsai (Silver glaze) provides a transcendent color that is hard to express in words. The design involves applying transparent glaze or five-color glaze over silver foil. It is characterized by a calm brilliance, gentle shine, and glass-like texture. The method is intricate, requiring an additional firing process compared to standard techniques, despite the dazzling appearance. Note that it is not made with actual silver foil; instead, a luxurious technique is used that is about seven times thicker to prevent melting.
