Kutani Ware Waza no Kura Pair Teacups

Product description

The yunomi (Japanese teacup) sizes are as follows: large (diameter 7.2 cm, height 7.9 cm) and small (diameter 7.1 cm, height 7.3 cm), packaged in a dedicated gift box. Kutani ware, known as one of Japan's three major colored porcelain styles and a representative traditional craft, is highly regarded worldwide. It is produced in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, and is made from ceramic materials (Kutani).

The painting style of Kutani ware is exemplified by Yoshidaya, which aims to revive the ancient Kutani tradition established by Denemon Toyota around 180 years ago. Yoshidaya incorporates the blue hand painting technique of ancient Kutani, utilizing a palette of blue (green), yellow, purple, and navy without any red, creating dense, richly decorated patterns. This unique style provides a distinctive atmosphere to the pottery.

These yunomi cups are recommended for various gifting occasions such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Respect for the Aged Day, celebrations of longevity (60th, 70th, 77th birthdays), retirement, anniversaries, weddings, and more.
