Kutani Ware Couple Rice Bowls Set – Waza no Kura

Product description

The tea bowl comes in two sizes: large (diameter 11.8 cm, height 6.3 cm) and small (diameter 11.3 cm, height 5.5 cm). It is packaged in a decorative gift box. Made in Japan (Ishikawa Prefecture) from porcelain (Kutani ware), it features a unique artistic style. Yoshidaya, founded around 180 years ago by Denemon Toyoda, aimed to revive ancient Kutani wares by incorporating blue, green, yellow, purple, and navy colors in a heavy, richly painted style, avoiding red. This approach, alongside the use of intricate patterns, creates a distinctive atmosphere.

Kutani ware is esteemed as one of Japan's three main colored porcelain types and is recognized globally as a representative traditional craft of Japan. It is an excellent gift choice for various occasions such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Respect for the Aged Day, retirement celebrations, and milestone birthdays like the 60th, 70th, 77th, 80th, and more.
