Introduction to Kutani Ware Style: Yoshidaya, founded by Toyoda Den'emon (approximately 180 years ago), aimed to revive ancient Kutani styles by adopting the Aote Kokutani painting technique. This style features a combination of blue (green), yellow, purple, and navy, while avoiding the use of red. The patterns are often small designs set against a patterned background, filling the entire surface of the ware with paint to create a heavy, distinctive aesthetic. Kutani Ware is highly regarded as one of Japan's top three colored ceramics and recognized globally as a traditional craft under the name 'Japan Kutani.'
Gift Suggestions: Ideal for celebrations such as weddings, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Respect for the Aged Day, retirement parties, and various milestone birthdays like the 60th, 70th, 77th, 80th, and 88th anniversaries.
