Introduction to the painting style of Kutani ware: The term "Kokutani," which refers to the early period of Kutani ware established by Gohto Saijiro (approximately 360 years ago), was promoted by the Daishoji Domain around the Meireki era (1655). This was guided by the renowned Japanese painter Kano school master, Morikage Kusumi, and utilized the five colors of blue (green), yellow, red, purple, and deep blue. The bold compositions are completed in a painterly manner, with lines that are both free and delicate, representing the quintessential style of Kutani ware.

Kutani ware is highly regarded worldwide as one of Japan's three major colored porcelain ceramics, and it stands out as a representative traditional craft of Japan, known as "Japan Kutani."
