Introduction to the painting style of Kutani ware: Yoshidaya, Toyoda Denemon (approximately 180 years ago) - The Yoshidaya kiln, aiming to revive the old Kutani style, incorporates the painted and filled techniques of the blue Kutani, utilizing four colors: blue (green), yellow, purple, and navy, without using red. It features patterns and small motifs with dense designs that completely cover the surface of the pottery with its paint, creating a rich artistic style and a unique atmosphere.
Kutani ware is highly regarded worldwide as one of Japan's three major colored porcelain and represents the traditional craft "Japan Kutani."
This is a popular piece from the 青郊窯 (Seikogama) "Bean Dish Masterpiece Collection (single item)." It is a palm-sized dish perfect for daily use as a soy sauce plate or for serving dishes. The Bean Dish Masterpiece Collection designs representative masterpieces of Kutani ware, resembling those found in art museums, into small bean dishes. It’s a stylish Japanese tableware that adds a touch of elegance to the dining table!
