Introduction to the Painting Style of Kutani Ware: Yoshidaya, founded by Denemon Toyoda approximately 180 years ago, aimed to revive the ancient Kutani style. It incorporated the painting technique of early Kutani with a focus on using blue (green), yellow, purple, and navy without red. In addition to patterns, the unique elements of small patterns were used as the ground, creating a heavy and rich texture by covering the entire piece with paint, exuding a distinctive atmosphere.
Kutani ware is highly esteemed worldwide as one of Japan's three major color porcelain types and represents traditional Japanese craftsmanship known as 'Japan Kutani.'
This is the popular "Mamezara Meister Collection (single item)" from the celebrated Kougo kiln, known for its Instagram-worthy appeal!
