Introduction to the painting style of Kutani ware: Yoshidaya, Toyoda Den'emon (approximately 180 years ago) – The Yoshidaya kiln, aimed at the revival of ancient Kutani, adopted the blue-hand ancient Kutani painting technique, utilizing blue (green), yellow, purple, and navy blue without using red. The patterns, along with small motifs as backgrounds, create a heavy and unique atmosphere, fully coating the vessel with paint.
Kutani ware is recognized worldwide as one of Japan's three major colored porcelain styles and as a representative traditional craft known as 'Japan Kutani.'
Perfect for Instagram! This is the popular Seiko kiln's "Small Plate Masterpiece Collection (single item)." It is a handheld-sized dish, ideal for everyday use, serving as a soy sauce dish or for sharing food.
