The natural cherry bark is carefully processed, resulting in a beautifully colored tea spoon with stunning grain patterns. It is known that cherry bark has antibacterial properties. Although the shape may be the same, no two pieces share identical grain or color. Over time, with use, the spoon deepens in color and maintains its unique sheen. It won’t rust, allowing you to safely enjoy the warm, natural feel.
The manufacturer, Hachiyanagi Co., was founded in 1876 in Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture, and has been producing and selling birch crafts for generations. It is said that cherry bark possesses antibacterial properties. While the shapes of the scoops are consistent, each one is unique in terms of grain and color, deepening in hue with use while maintaining the distinctive shine of mountain cherry wood.
