Kutani ware × Kanazawa foil (gold leaf). Kanazawa produces 98% of the nation's gold leaf and an impressive 100% of silver leaf (Kanazawa foil). The precision of producing gold leaf to a thickness of 1/10,000 mm while maintaining its shine is a challenging skill that requires expertise. Craftsmen can hammer a piece the size of a 10-yen coin into a sheet big enough to cover a tatami mat. The humid climate with frequent rain and snow, along with good water quality, contributes to the high quality of Kanazawa foil. Kutani ware boasts a history of 360 years, while Kanazawa foil has 400 years of tradition, combining the remarkable craftsmanship of Kaga Hyakumangoku.
Renowned as one of Japan’s top three colored porcelain, Kutani ware is also recognized globally as a traditional craft, known as "Japan Kutani."
Perfect as a gift for occasions like Mother's Day, Father's Day, Respect for the Aged Day, milestone birthdays (60th, 70th, 77th), retirement celebrations, commemorative items, wedding anniversaries, and other special presents!
