Ginsai is a supreme color that defies description. It features designs where transparent or five-color glazes are applied over a layer of silver, creating a subdued brilliance, gentle luster, and glass-like texture. This technique requires an additional firing compared to standard practices, making it a sophisticated method despite its dazzling appearance. It's important to note that this is not real silver foil, as that would melt at the required thickness; instead, this technique uses a luxurious thickness approximately seven times that of regular silver foil.
