Wash with dish soap using a soft sponge or cloth and clean gently. Scrubbing with a metal scouring pad or similar material may scratch the glass and cause damage.

This warm and elegant Edo Kiriko glass features amber-colored glass on the inside, creating a beautiful contrast between two colors. The rim is decorated with the “Yotsuba-mon” pattern, symbolizing a four-leaf clover associated with good fortune, love, sincerity, and hope.

The base pattern, “Yarai Nanako-mon,” is also a traditional auspicious design. “Yarai” refers to a structure made by interweaving bamboo or logs, symbolizing the creation of a strong foundation and the establishment of stability. “Nanako,” meaning fish scales, represents abundance and prosperity due to the large number of scales.

Edo Kiriko originated during the Edo period and has been designated a traditional Japanese craft, valued for preserving the culture and lifestyle of Edo-era Japan. Each piece is carefully handcrafted individually by a skilled artisan.
