Currently, there is a severe shortage of tea whisks (production cannot keep up with orders).

Made in Japan in Takayama, Nara Prefecture.

A slightly thin, easy-to-shake tea whisk.

[Light tea] 〇 Produces a good amount of foam.

[Thick tea] △ Not very suitable as the tip is soft.

[Tsuneho] Considered the standard tea whisk.

The number of tips is 64 for the outer tips, and 128 for the inner tips.

★[Tsuneho] tea whisks are made with about 64 outer tips, so compared to other [Yasotate] whisks, the bamboo used is relatively thin. (Of course, since it is made from natural materials, there will be individual differences.)

If you prefer a slightly thicker handle, we recommend the [Yasotate] whisk.

[About Takayama Chasen in Nara]

There are inexpensive Chinese-made tea whisks, but the most coveted are the domestically produced ones, and in particular the "Takayama Chasen" made in the Takayama district of Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, known as the "home of tea whisks."

The precise and intricate techniques have been passed down for generations as a secret passed down from father to son, and are highly regarded both at home and abroad through the "Japanese tea ceremony."

From those who love the tea ceremony to those who enjoy matcha at home,
we invite you to experience the beauty and quality of this traditional craft.
